NNS Annual Spring Fair!
Eco-Friendly Silver Lake Neighborhood Nursery School Annual Spring Fair
Saturday, May 17th, 2008 from 1:00-6:00pm
Admission (tickets include food): $10 (advance website pre-sale - CLICK HERE to PURCHASE) $12 at the door
We'll be celebrating locally while thinking globally at a
much-anticipated neighborhood happening, a springtime romp on an idyllic
lakeside setting. It's our Spring Fair, a kid-centric, earth-focused
festival that features sing-along family entertainment, healthy and homemade
foods, old-fashioned games galore, and a beautiful outside venue for time
with family and friends.
All the delicious food--free with admission and served in compostable containers--can
be enjoyed with free water. We encourage everyone to bring his or her own reusable bottle
or cup. The old fashioned bake sale will be packed with yummy treats that are not to be missed.
Wait-there's more! This fundraising event will also feature a Silent Auction
of terrific prizes, plus booths offering organic cotton designs, hand-woven
hats, and the work of local and international artisans.
And, continuing a proud Neighborhood Nursery School tradition, we'll raffle
off a beautiful quilt, expertly designed and carefully crafted by NNS
families.
We've mined the local music scene for the golden sounds of: Tomas O'Grady and Foreign Born.
And the kids will rock out to The Hollow Trees and Ellen and Matt.
So, no Bounce Houses, no corporate sponsors and no plastic bottles,
Just real food, a lot if it organic, real fun, and families and friends,
working to keep it green on our little acre.
At NNS, we know that tree huggers throw the best parties.
Hope to see you there!
